These terms govern your use of the sona.fast website and the Sona software offered through it, operated by Sparky (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

The website

This site provides information about Sona and lets you join a waitlist for a future managed-hosting service. You agree to use it lawfully and not to disrupt it, probe it, or abuse its forms (for example, submitting addresses that aren’t yours or automating signups).

The software

Sona is open-source software, provided under the Apache License 2.0 (see the repository). Your use, modification, and self-hosting of the software are governed by that license. When you self-host Sona, you are responsible for your own deployment, content, costs, and compliance, and for the privacy of anyone who visits your site. We are not responsible for self-hosted sites run by others.

The waitlist and managed hosting

Joining the waitlist simply registers your interest; it is not a purchase, a contract, or a promise that managed hosting will launch, by any date, at any price, or with any particular features. If and when managed hosting becomes available, it will have its own separate terms that you’ll be asked to accept before signing up.

Intellectual property

The Sona name, logo, and site content are ours, except for the open-source code (governed by its license) and third-party names referenced on the site, which belong to their respective owners. The site integrates with or references third-party services (such as FurAffinity, FurTrack, Telegram, and Cloudflare); we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

No warranty

The website and the software are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or the software.

Changes

We may update these terms; we’ll revise the “last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
